The beautiful daughter of two NYU professors was killed inside her mother's university apartment - and left to decompose behind the locked door of her bedroom for several days, police sources said.
Cops were searching for Boitumelo McCallum's "jealous" boyfriend, according to police sources who described him as the prime suspect in the grisly murder of the intelligent 20-year-old student.
-snip-
"Everyone is calling, asking for information about this young woman - except her boyfriend. The sense is that he's not calling because he knows what happened," a source said.

What does her beauty have to do with this?
Oh my God, what scathingly brilliant deductive reasoning!

And what does her intelligence have to do with this?
Evidence suggests otherwise:
Condom wrappers and empty malt liquor and beer bottles littered the room...
...she threw a raucous party last Wednesday at her mother's home...
The young student's on-again-off-again beau has had at least two prior arrests, including busts for assault and possession of marijuana... (hanging with losers can be bad for your health...)
...learning how to isolate, amplify, sequence and edit DNA. (Well, that might explain the condoms...)
"She didn't have a green card and neither did I. We bonded over that in the lab," said her pal Bernard Laszczower, 19 (another illegal alien loser-friend.)
I'm just sayin'...
They may have both been here legally on student or work visas. One needn't have green card to be legal.
I agree she used questionable judgment in her choice of boyfriends and in throwing the wild party. We've all done stupid things as youngsters. Fortunately, most of us survived them.
I don't think I'd have rented out a room in my apartment to strangers while my daughter was living there. While the renters appear not to be suspects, that strikes me a bit chancy too.
It comes in later with the condom wrappers and boxes, and the slew of empty Colt 40 bottles lying in the rubble of the murder scene. Not much “beauty” in this story.
Ugly dead girls don't sell papers.
Ugly, dumb dead girls you mean.
It completes the trifecta of sensationalism -- sex, death and money. But it also helps the reporter soften the obvious conclusion that this was a confused, immature, spoiled, privileged daughter of well-placed lefties -- the same reason the article represents this party girl as some sort of academic genius in genetics, even though she was a college drop-out at 19, more than a year ago.
In a word, because she's black. The etiquette of politically correct reporting is so complicated. You know that if a crime is reported, and police are looking for the perp, and his race is left out of the description, you can be pretty sure the perp is black. That's because liberal reporters have such racially dirty minds that they believe in their hearts that all blacks are perps. To a liberal, to include the descriptor "black" would be to impolitely rub it in. Whereas, normal people assume good black folks are good folks, period, and a black perp is a jerk like any other perp. And that a description of a dangerous fugitive without mentioning his appearance is comically useless.
In this story, liberal reporters as a group believe black females to be dumb hookers whose passing from this life is scarcely worthy of notice on a police blotter. They point out that this unfortunate girl was intelligent because it surprises them, and makes it a "man bites dog" story. Meanwhile, back in reality, watching a debate between the reporter who wrote this story and Thomas Sowell or Condi Rice would be amusing, if cruel entertainment.
Heck, I still get gender confused with names I can pronounce, like "Sasha".
bump
Charming.
Speaking of "gender confusion," see post 14.
wow, if Oakland says “sorry but you are just too violent even for us” man, that’s a badge of honor I guess.
Yes, in the "lifestyle" and associations she pursued, it is a badge of honor. She chose a life of debauchery and depravity and she paid the ultimate price for that.
