The truth is, they are just a support constituency that the Dem politicians pander to, like the "civil rights" black vote. It doesn't mean they will actually DO anything for them. The Kos kiddies will be perfectly happy with symbolic showpiece legislation that gets nowhere, like Rangel's constant impeachment drumbeat.
