Apparently, the prayer calls from 6:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. five times a day didn't piss off folks in Hamtramck to take to the streets in protest.
That debacle was about three years ago.
When you sit back and let cockroaches infiltrate your communities and lives, this should be expected.
Look forward to similar works in Dearborn...the mecca in Michigan.

Honestly, I wouldn’t doubt it.
Hamtramck is scary, Dearborn is scarier.
I nearly lost a keyboard one day when Alouette stated that she had been shopping down in Dearborn and got into a group of women in hijabs. She said that she made them “breathe Jew air”!!!!
Diet coke up the nose but ya gotta love her!

Guarantee: within a year they will be practicing sharia law. Within 2 years, they will be asking for sharia law to become the official law.

The global Japanese company my husband worked for made the decision to move (i) all their manufacturing operations to Mexico and Brazil (closing the plants that had been in NC and SC); and (ii) move their corporate operations to Detroit to be closer to the auto industry (those operations had been in NC).
We declined the move, husband is still job hunting. In the interim we had taken on housing and care of his mother. We don’t feel she can make another move....some days he is really discouraged.

Over the past thirty years, a large number of immigrants from the Middle East (especially Yemen) and South Asia (especially Bangladesh) have moved to the city. As of the 2000 census, the city’s foreign born population stood at 41.1%
