> PRAYERS UP AND NEEDED FOR MARINE SGT. NICHOLS INJURED BY IED!

Prayers up from DownUnder, Marine:

Lord God, bless all those who take up arms in Thy name to defend us, strengthen their right arms that they can smight the enemy mightily until victorious.

We pray Thou wouldst grant healing and peace to this brave Marine, Sgt Samuel Nichols, and comfort to his family and friends and Bretheren of the Corps, and bring confusion and damnation and a blight to the enemy. Be with those who serve, and with the families of those who have died, and with the President of the United States of America: grant him wisdom and courage.

Please Bless America and Defend New Zealand and Save the Queen we pray, even as we ask when our nations raise as with one voice when we invoke Thy name in National Anthem. Forgive us when we forget that this be what we do when we sing our Anthems, for are they not a form of praise and supplication to Thee? How soon we can forget: forgive our forgetfulness, help us instead to Remember Thee, and the sacrifice of Thy Son.

Our enemy believes not in Thee, and they seek the destruction of Thy chosen people Israel. In many ways, ours is a fight for survival: grant our troops Courage enough to smite and defeat them, then bring them home victorious and at peace.

Thou art the God of Battles: be with this young Marine, keep him under Thy protection even now.

In Jesus name,
Amen, so mote it be.
