Mo Vaughn used to wear one of Cam Neely’s elbow pads. It looked huge for the time. Compared to Bonds, it was nothing.
I thought MLB had put standards about the size of elbow pads.

They do have a size limitation. They grandfathered Bonds womanly (apologies to women) armor, however. How lame was that? At least the spitballers who were grandfathered were making a living on a legit pitch prior to the rule. This hinged armor crap is in excusable. God how I’d love to pitch, throw three intentional balls when the situation deemed it appropriate, then test the integrity of that pansy pad.
