Shouldn’t the question be, “Why should they decide anything about our lives?” I know that’s an overeaching question but too little in this case is better than too much.

but if a certain percentage of pain killers go to the wrong people in the process of helping legitimate sufferers, so be it.
You got that right. I'd rather worry about the lawful before I worry about the lawless.

When nearly pure heroin can be had for $75 - $100 a gram, the damned DEA has lost the WOD big time.
You’re correct: Pharmaceuticals and doctors that care are an easier target.
As usual, the innocents suffer.

If you’ve followed the USSC cases - as Raisch goes, so goes Stewart.

You're right but it's a bit late now. See my tagline.

A stash of Vicodin is nice to have around in case you get hurt really bad and cant get to the doc right away, dont want to go to ER, or youre just in so much pain you cant even function. I can make 100 pills last almost a year, and I do have pain issues.Absolutely.
I get good painkillers any time I can, because you never know when they'll be useful. A bottle of 30 Vics normally last me about a year or so. The nanny-state is out of control on the entire issue of pain managment. When you need the stuff, you need it.

The war on drugs and gun control are just two items that criminalize the American public. I’ve said this before. Drugs will never be legal, because there are too many people making money. Manufacturers, dealers, cops, corrections and possibly our own government officials.
Security and crime prevention is big business. Guns reduce crime, in the right hands. Whoever said crime doesn’t pay didn’t look at the big picture.

In my experience, being in extreme pain is actually far more distracting than being on a pain med. When I’m hurting bad enough, I can’t think right and I make more mistakes.

Sometimes I get headaches so bad, I could eat motrin all day(which is far worse for you than vicodin, BTW), Not only NSAIDs, but acetaminophen also. Look at the side effects of abusing vicodin (or any of the other hydrocodone/APAP brands) and you will see a long list of potential physical issues, and almost every one is related to excessive acetaminophen use, not the hydrocodone.
It's ironic that they are going after a very safe drug.

They seem to go after the safer cheaper ones and promote the ones that eventually kill people. Makes me wonder...

The DEA has decided its too hard to go after the international drug cartels so its going after American doctors instead.”
What the heck, one conviction for “dealing drugs” is as good as another when it comes time to justify their funding.
