Goose Creek - Two men are being held in the Berkeley County Detention Center after police find explosive making devices in their car. There are conflicting reports as to the quantity of explosive making materials in that vehicle.

FBI (website) reports are saying that there is not believed to be a link to terrorism. The men 21-year-old Yousef Megahed and 24-year-old Ahmed Mohamed (seen in the video attachment) were pulled over Saturday evening during a routine traffic stop near Myers Road and Highway 176. Among the explosive devices found were igniters and fusers.

Few details about the suspects are known at this time. They are believed to be students at a Florida college. They are of Middle Eastern descent and are not US citizens. Neither man has been charged, but charges are expected Monday.

A press conference will be held in Berkeley County on Monday morning. Among the potential charges is possession of unlawful explosives.

Officials are not at this time releasing any additional information. Highway 176 in Goose Creek was shut down and has since reopened. Stay tuned to ABC News 4 and www.abcnews4.comfor details as they become available.

No, I think you may have something. I live in GC, and Berkeley county sheriffs don’t pull over speeders. too spread out. Unless doing 100 mph in front of them. So I suspect something else is going on.The first reports said info came in from another “jurisdiction” ??? someone dropped a dime. They must be withholding info to protect an investigation or person. And why was the FBI, ATF, Sled, called in, beside county and city officers?

But if the truth is told, someone or someones could be tipped, if those someone haven't already been tipped, and they probably have been tipped simply because the story made the news.

Their buddies would be tipped simply by their not showing up where expected.

One of the stories I read said the officer who stopped them for speeding got suspicious when one of them tried to hide the laptop. Which hopefully means it's full of unencrypted info indicating what they were up to and who else is involved.
