What is interesting is that they were heading out of Charleston according to one source. My first thought was that they were heading into Charleston because being from Florida (one would assume with FL tags) they traveled up I95 and got off US 176 which is a back way into Charleston. I know this because we us to live about a mile up from where this occurred off of US 176. We would head up 176 to get on I95 instead of I26 because it was closer. Also, living outside of Goose Creek for a number of years, my husband was well acquainted with the Goose Creek police, being stopped several times in the town for speeding. It is known for speed traps, and the area these fellows were stopped is close to the city limits. So, I still wonder which way they were heading, my thoughts are they were going into GooseCreek from I95, on their way to Charleston.

It was just some ‘fishing supplies’ picked up at the state line fireworks store.

I lived in Charleston for about 6 years but I was not familiar with the Goose Creek area. I would just pass Summerville on my way in and out of town on 26.
What boggles the mind is the FBI saying something about it not being related to terrorism. Just exactly what about a bomb in a van isn't about terrorism?? I doubt it was someone's volcano science project!
