The "base" should ask themselves who they are going to excerpt a bigger influence over? A Republican President Rudy McRomney or a Democratic President Clinton(s)? Was anyone paying attention to what happened during the Immigration Reform fight? Who listened and who didn't? Who flip-flopped and who didn't? The last I checked, the Democrats are STILL hanging together on that one. Only a "tool" would reward the party that in the end gave in to what they wanted by making it possible to elect their opponents who didn't and won't ever give them a thing.
