Excellent! I like the idea of radio debates in general. Their advantage over TV is that since time isn't as precious/scarce as TV time, the debates can in principle be far less of a pressure cooker affair. And the lack of video removes the hair factor from consideration . . .I would however prefer true debates in which two individuals squared off without questions or limitations from a moderator - only a chess timer controlling the microphones. If the candidates actually need a moderator, they are pretty worthless at public speaking in the first place. In reality the moderator is normally an "objective" (note the scare quotes) journalist whose fondest hope is that the conservative(s) in the debate will commit "gaffes."
