Overheard on Thursday's Talk Of The Nation on NPR: investigative reporter Dan Moldea said he and Nation's David Corn are shopping around a completed story about a "Democratic leader who is mobbed up."
Moldea did not elaborate but hinted that the story would break soon.

Lieberman?
I just love [my fellow] conservatives when they think a Dem “might” get nabbed at something.
You folks get all atwitter, palpitations and short of breath. Just like a high school virginal wall flower with visions of marital bliss because a guy says hello to her in the hallway.
Then, most of the time, for one reason or another, nothing of consequence comes of it. At least nothing of detriment to the Dem party.
Democrat stories of crime and corruption almost never get legs. The MSM can still do a pretty good job of letting the air out of Dem scandals. My advice is to consider it a non story until such time as it actually happens AND a Dem truly gets hung out to dry. Dems do get caught occasionally but not a lot happens later.
Wonder when the next explosion will hit?!
Should I break out the popcorn yet?
The guy from Post 100 proposed Lieberman too, just like you. It could be. It CERTAINLY won’t be any kind of Dem icon. It will be a Dem who’s viewed as a “traitor” and who needs his comeuppance.
Whoever it turns out to be, I plan on enjoying it. A lot.

Well, I hope it is a democratic senator with a republcan governor.
Ooooohhhhhh man, that would be sooo sweetttttt.
They're all part of the same hypocrisy.
NJ is a natural. Doesn’t the mafia own half of it (smile).
I’ll have to get out my Wishbook and check...
If it is NJ it wouldn't matter. They would just change the rules to fit their needs. They always do.
I tend to view it the other way. That the government has been supplanted by the mob but either way you go we reach the same conclusion.
