I do not know who Jan Mickelson is. I would take it that he is highly respected member of the Iowan Conservative movement. However Mitt Romney did not know he was being videotaped thus his demeanour was natural and un-rehearsed.
Labelling him as "slick" to me is too close to brandishing his in the Clinton mode.
The flip flopper characterization may be his undoing. What works in Mass may not work for the rest of America.

Not true. The point is, he flip-flopped upon leaving MA and joining the campaign. He didn't run as a pro-lifer or NRA member while he was here.
