The photos appear to be ridiculous fakes, and I've not seen anything to alter that conclusion. And I'm generally open to the idea of ETs, UFOs, etc.

I agree they were made with enormous effort in a well-funded shop. The author did not write the material in the scans. That said, WHY would anyone BOTHER???

There is something indefinable in the story I find quite discomforting, but I do not know anywhere near enough about n-dimensional fractal geometry to intelligently speculate on it. The Goedlerization of nearly infinite data within the complexity of a set is reasonable.

But WHY did someone bother..Where is the profit motive, or even the Fame Factor? No one, absolutely no one, would believe it even if it were true.

Why would someone bother?

The same reason that someone "bothered" to forge the Majestic Papers and put them in the mailbox of UFO researchers--to discredit them.

Why would someone want to discredit UFO researchers?

Because those who are doing the discrediting do have _something_ to hide.

For what it is worth I do believe the government (or some part of it) has made contact with extraterrestrials or ET technology.

Given the low character of so many of our government officials they probably would try to make money off of any new technology and would try to keep competitors off the trail.
