I was surprised too. I still smell a liberal though... I think the author felt comfortable leaving off the "Right-Wing" tag because he put his "labels" in the rest of the column.
As these Web sites follow the progress of the 7-Eleven shooting investigation, some have run headlines such as "Spic Shooter of Bruno 'Jesus is my Gardener' Identified" and "Latino Thug Identified in 7-Eleven Shooting."
...meaning, "All these Web sites oppose illegal immigration because they are a bunch of racists..."
If the author went to any of the lefty websites like DU and "cherry-picked" headlines like this, he would quickly find anti-American, anti-Religion, anti-Military headlines, as well as a few death threats for border patrol agents, NG soldiers, and Bush.
let me see if I get this right.....
He is a US citizen working and paying taxes the legal way
2 illegals come in and give him grief about a hat he wears
they probably don’t even make a purchase
then they come by later and shoot bullets into the business not even knowing he’s not there
and 7-11 thinks he caused the trouble
SIMPLY AMAZING!
ONLY IN 21ST CENTURY AMERICA
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS DESTROYING THE USA
Or at least are talking to someone who knows something about firearms. FReepers aren't the only ones who know which end of the rifle the bullet comes out of.
I can understand how you might get that impression from reading what reporters write. Don't most papers still have at least one person who covers the outdoor sports that they could check with?
There were hunters, cowboys, sheep herders, miners, loggers, tiehacks, farmers, ranchers and the like formerly there. They all have been driven out by the drug dealers and Hollywood celebrities.
These urban areas are so ‘pc’ that hunters have been driven out. The liberals will not tolerate anyone with a different point of view. The newspaper editors would have likely fired anyone not ‘pc’ enough.
That is why they do not know the difference between ( now ) a .30-caliber ...( Last time ) : 30-millimeter ...
Wow.
"Police now believe that one of the men who had threatened Kirchenwitz earlier and fired the shots was Ricardo Ramirez, an illegal immigrant who lived in El Jebel with his father. Police later found an M-1 rifle at the Ramirez household that was consistent with the bullet casings found in the store and have issued an arrest warrant for him. "
I thought shots were fired into the store from the outside? If so, how did the spent casings wind up in the store? Evidently a PC liberal whine rag author writing the article that has no idea what bullet casings are. Jeeeesssh.....give me a break.
Thanks for introducing me to a new term: tie hack. I'd never heard it, but I had a couple of uncles who might have been considered tie hacks, both were as Finnish as Heikki's pig and lumbermen before and during the depression. They were both offered new jobs by their Uncle Sam that included travel to Europe during the war. I don't know how many of the trees they fell ended up holding rails, but between them, they dropped the equivalent of a pretty good sized forest.
The t-shirt is a fire-able offense, to my mind.
Bruno apparently did not wear that t-shirt nor this hat at work.
Should he be fired for what he wears on his own time ?
I wish they’d release the video of the “confrontation.”
Thanks for the ping.
A tie hack is old term. Not used much lately. Sadly so will ranchers and sheep herders die off.
As federal allotments are ‘vacated,’ much more of our food will be completely produced in feed lots. Former free range cows and sheep will have lots of drugs and growth hormones instead.
Last time : three 30-millimeter shell casings found at the 7-Eleven after the shooting were consistent with the type of ammunition typically used with an M-1 rifle.
Actually, it seems that it was the Basalt Police Chief who doesn't know firearms. Scott Condon described in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent:
([Basalt Police Chief] Ikeda reported Sunday that shell casing found on the scene were 30 millimeter. He corrected that Monday to say the casing were from a .30-caliber shell.)
Thanks.
7-11 must have some pictures and videos of the confrontation. I have not seen any.
Oh, OK.
Anyone big enough to lift, and fire several rounds from, a 30mm rifle is so big he doesn’t need the rifle.
That presstitute should keep away from his bong for hours before typing. I suggest an eight hour “bong to board (keyboard) rule to prevent such egregious presstitution in the future.

I was in prep school in near Carbondale, long ago and far away. The area was classic Old West. But, the whole place is now stuffed to the gills with PC whack types.
I thought that going in, which is why I looked it up. I pride myself on having a pretty good knowledge of old terms and usages. It also seems to be a western regional term, which would explain why it had hitherto escaped my attention.
Sadly so will ranchers and sheep herders die off.
As federal allotments are vacated, much more of our food will be completely produced in feed lots. Former free range cows and sheep will have lots of drugs and growth hormones instead.
Sad but inevitable unless enough people are willing to pay extra for real meat. Feed lots are more efficient (read cheaper) than grazing and will force out grazing even absent the vacating of Federal allotments.
Also most people are more used to the milder flavor of feed lot meat and prefer it to the slightly stronger taste of free range meat. I don't have to like it, and I don't, but there it is.
Dear Aquinasfan,
May I suggest the remote possibility that the name ‘Jusus’ now is one of the more prevalent names in Latin areas.
Literally, “Jesus” may well be his gardener.
That shirt is sort of like admitting (at least implying) in public that you hire illegals.
PC whack types, drug dealers, Hollywood celebrities, illegals, and ...
