The mention of Belgium is alarming, because of the history of violent pedophile rings in that country. As soon as I saw this, I thought - Dutroux.

Alas, this little girl is probably dead.

Her parents left their children alone while they went out to dinner. A weirdo living with his mother nearby likely killed her.

The parents are British. This is Portugal. This whole story is kind of like Aruba lite. The local yokels can’t solve the crime and the foreigners can’t do a thing about it.

Parents who leave their children alone, yea even wealthy physician parents, are STUPID. Those fine doctor folks who left their daughter Maddie alone to be abducted get mad if anyone should point this out.

I’ll not stop pointing this out.

With this information becoming news, there is very little chance those people will ever be seen in that area again. Perhaps they were in transit at the time, or had moved prior to this story.

The willingness of media people (as well as certain members of our Legislature) have decided that their chance to get a “scoop” (or gain any political advantage) outweighs all other considerations. It is both sad and frightening.

i find this weird. she didnt have a cell phone? she had to leave to call? she couldn’t have told a worker to go call police so she could keep an eye on this situation? it seems odd that anyone would have this young girl in public as her face has been all over europe in the last couple of months. sadly, i think she will never be seen again.

“Sightings’ are very unreliable.

If anyone is famous or a disappearance is widely publicised, there will be thousands of sightings. Judge Crater, Elvis, the Lindberg baby have been seen numerous times. I won’t even go into the Loch Ness monster.....

You are right about false sightings - it is inevitable. But this one is being taken seriously, and, after all, some sightings turn out to be correct.

They are DNA testing the bottle the girl drank from, at the cafe table. Results will be in a few days.
