Sorry, don’t know the answer but I am think somebody on the list might know.

Can somebody shed some light on Stonewall Jackson’s question: “I have found plenty of lists of the generals who were killed in the war, but do you know of a list of the brigade commanders who were still Colonels when they were killed? I know that there were three or four who were killed at Gettysburg, so it is probable that there were others over the course of the war.”

Thanks in advance.

"It is painful enough to discover with what unconcern they speak of war and threaten it. I have seen enough of it to make me look upon it as the sum of all evils."
