Tulsa - It's the middle of the summer travel season. And, Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson is warning consumers to beware of potentially hazardous tires, likely on thousands of trucks, SUVs and vans.
The tires were sold in the U.S. by Foreign Tire Sales, Inc. and are missing 'gum strips', which prevent tread separation. The tires were sold under the names "Westlake", "Compass" and "YKS" between 2004 and 2006 and were manufactured in China by Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Company Ltd.
