DERRY, N.H. - John McCain's slide in the presidential race shows up everywhere on the campaign trail.
His staff drastically reduced and his organization nearly broke, McCain flies commercial instead of on private jets, carries his own luggage and relies on supporters to drive him to events, including one that pulled away from a Rotary meeting last week with a flat rear tire.
It's a far cry from the "Straight Talk Express" tour bus that once was packed with reporters, staff and hope.

Give it up John. It’s over, you blew it!!!
I’ve never been a fan of McLame, but this is sad.
Mr. McCain, thank you for your military service. You are a very honorable man.
As a legislator... not so much.
Please, go home. Retire. Go fishing. You’ve earned a pleasant retirement.
Somehow, some way, Mr. McCain, we'll get over your lovely attempt to squelch our free speech along with the fine Mr. Feingold.
Not to mention your alliance with Ted Kennedy.
Conservatives across the land shall remember your legacy as what happens when a RINO pushes the envelope a bit too much.
McCain got too close to Teddy, Finegold, and the MSM. He became their darling thinking the media could nominate him. They can’t.
McCain and his fellow RINOs are exactly why the GOP is on the outside looking in.
I'm not sure of that.......
McCain never had a prayer, he’s just alienated too many conservatives over the years.
I am amazed however how out of touch Dems are with moderate and Republican world view. I was talking to a pretty ardent dem the other day and he was blaming McCains troubles on his support for the war..... I told him his support for the war is the only reason he had ANY support at all. They really do think that everyone thinks like they do.... They are completely incapable of recognizing others world views. Man is a very smart guy, but just utterly blinded to any view that isn’t his own.
Bye-bye Johnny boy, and don’t let the door hit ya’ where the Good Lord split ya”!
Indeed. It is time to pack up and forget about it, John.
He's going to be humiliated after the first couple of primaries. A very sad ending to an embarrasing finale to a mediocre legislative career.

Dear John,
Give it up, it’s over. It was over long, long ago. I never actually cared for you but between the gang of 14 fiasco, CFR and your unexplainable cheerleading of third world POS invading this nation that you claim to love, I just frankly despise you at this point. No John, don’t call. Don’t come to visit. Just accept it.
It’s ok John, we’ll always have Vietnam.
Republican Base.
