no offense to anybody but some posts need trimming down.
like the ‘large weapons cache found and terrorists detained in iraq’ . we don’t need the same paragraphs which is basically pasted from every other article.
also isn’t everyday ‘worldwide caution’?
we should keep this list terrorism related, a lot of us here don’t need to hear about the daily storeowner who fended off a robber, yknow?
sorry just my two cents, it would make the list much more focused.
I agree, but I understand that some of the sites posted are their own sites, so it maybe helps drive traffic there? I guess we just wade through them since there’s been no acknowledgment otherwise.

There have been a lot of complaints about this excessiveness.
After other similar complaints have been ignored by the worst offenders who think those complaints don't apply to them, a lot of TMers have left (as evidenced by my freepmail,) because of the overload of long posts and superfluous news on Threat Matrix, totally unrelated to terrorism.
The original intent of Threat Matrix is/was tracking terrorism, not an all-news, thread.
Free Republic already is a 24/7 news site and it is a struggle to wade through the inordinacy and redundancy on Threat Matrix, especially for those who have other obligations and are unable to sit in front of a computer twenty hours a day. People come to this thread specifically to read terrorist related news.
Each of us has our own interests, focus - call it what you will. As a TMer since 11/3/2003, you pretty much understand why each person posts what they do - and even to whom they post. It's often a part of the greater picture. Sometimes, the posts harken back to 2 years ago or 3 years ago..etc. and again, they do make sense if you keep reading TM.
I've found that if there are some posts that don't particularly pique my interest...it's pretty easy to scroll on by.
