The only thing I can figure is that he knows something that we don't. Someone is gonna put a case against him being so right wing. So he is attacking us now.
I just don't get it.
Wondering if his rating numbers are down and is Fishing for Freepers fans.
“Someone is gonna put a case against him being so right wing.”
I’d say that Sen. Christopher Dodd (D) did that fairly well when he accused O’Reilly of “not liking the ideology on DailyKos” tonite........very strange, since O’Reilly tends to wind up on the liberal side of what really matters, except for child molester/lenient judges stuff.
O’Reilly has a big case of ego and the belief that if he thinks it (whether correct or not, whether thoroughly researched or not), it is true. He is Mister O’Reilly you know.
This is the big flaw in his show. He is never consistent, he does not think through the consequences of what he pushes on his program (other than how it benefits him).
He turns on Bush at critical times - as in the current declaration that the people will not allow the Iraq war if not solved by September. (As if the people are controlling what the terrorists do to us).
He ignorantly held to his claim that oil companies should become charitable organizations to provide oil to all cheaply, totally ignoring even Neil Cavuto’s attempts to educate him on the free market, that oil companies have to answer to stockholders and the huge costs to get the oil to the people.
He just chooses to wield his power in whatever direction he chooses based on his faulty research and thinking. But, that power only comes from viewers and the ego, abuse of power, faulty research and denial of truth will bring him down.
We are not fools and a reputation is built on the actions of the talk show host. You do not keep a reputation worthy of viewers when you take ego driven short cuts and use innocent groups for your own purposes.
His ratings numbers are going to go further down. You don’t fish for FR fans by lying about them.
Of course we will get trash comments here but they are handled. Of course some people are a little off - but that is only because we are the people and there are a few “off” people in the population.
Which proves that O’Reilly does not want “all people”, he prefers “controlled free speech”.
