when they could have done something interesting. Exactly. Also it bothered me that they held his friends captive when that never happened. I wanted to see more of Neville's fighting spirit and determination, Ron with the brains and the death-eater with his head stuck in the time turner. :) Sigh, but that would have made the movie last longer than that and I guess they had to trim it somehow. The way they did Sirius' death was touching. I almost didn't go, my 11 year old had wanted to see it and I was afraid the movie would be too much for her. She loved it but now after she finishes DH, she wants to go back and reread the OOtP to see what was different. Are you still enjoying the tapes? I am finally #123 on the waiting list for the last set, I can't wait!

Yes, a major point of that fight scene, in the book, was that it showed the abilities the children had developed in their self-taught D.A.D.A. class.

The tapes are very interesting. It’s different from rereading a book, because the tape progresses at a steady pace through the story. When I’m reading something for the second time, I’ll skim over the parts that I didn’t like much, to get to the parts I like better!

I’m in the 50’s on the waiting list for CDs of “Half-Blood Prince,” and in the mid-100’s for “Deathly Hallows.”
