One thing I have noticed about the Harry Potter stuff. People who are tuned into and follow politics don’t read or watch the garbage. What could this mean?

It means your powers of observation are flawed, or you don't know enough people to create a decent sample for your 'survey', or both.

I guess it means that it's possible to notice something that's not true.

That you are mistaken? I’ve read all but the last one at least three times. They are good stories. Not great, perhaps, but good. They do teach lessons that children need to learn, and they interested enough children (including my youngest) in reading that they should be given credit for that, if nothing else. Beowulf, Roland, El Cid, LOTR, and Harry Potter all have something in common. People who won’t give up can have and impact.

Well I love politics and I love Harry Potter. I have seen all the movies and bought all the books. I have not read the last book yet, but I surely will and I’ll still be ate up with politics.

No one is more tuned into HP than my teenage son. Also, no one is more politically tuned in than him.

hmmmmm ...one thing i noticed is that ignorant people make blankets statements of judgement about people.
i enjoyed the Harry Potter series with my children..both the books and the movies...its something we share...
maybe i have the ability to be tuned into more than one thing at a time without negating anything?
as far as it being garbage? ...read it then we will talk.
