WELLINGTON: A group of New Zealand vegans - people who do not eat any animal products - are shunning sex with meat eaters, claiming their bodies are made up of animal carcasses.
"When you are vegan or vegetarian, you are very aware that when people eat a meaty diet, they are kind of a graveyard for animals," said vegan Nichola Kriek. Another said: "I would not want to be intimate with someone whose body is literally made up from the bodies of others who have died for their sustenance."
Annie Potts, co-director of the New Zealand Centre for Human and Animal Studies at Canterbury University, identified the people she called "vegansexuals" in her research study.

Did you know that meat is actually green due to curing (putrifaction), and that the red color is a result of chemicals added to change color??Where do you nutjobs get crap like this? I have butchered enough of my own meat to call BS on you on this one. If you don't want to eat meat, don't. Who cares? Leaves more for me! But please refrain from posting lies...we leave that to the DUmmies.

“If folks would just go vegan w/o the politics, I wouldn’t care, but it’s the anti-corporate, anti-capitalist crap that comes with it that drives me nuts. Just don’t eat the damn meat!”
True until they force it on their children. I could care less what they eat or dont eat. In fact if they dont eat meat then there is more for me. They can have my share of tofu.

Animals on factory farms do not see the sun or get a breath of fresh air until they are prodded and crammed onto trucks for a nightmarish ride to the slaughterhouse, often through weather extremes and always without food or water. Many die during transport, and others are too sick or weak to walk off the truck after they reach the slaughterhouse. The animals who survive this hellish ordeal are hung upside-down and their throats are slit, often while theyre completely conscious. Many are still alive while they are skinned, hacked into pieces, or scalded in the de-feathering tanks. Learn more about the factory-farming industry. By switching to a vegetarian diet, you can save more than 100 animals a year from this misery. LOL! You'll believe anything, won't you!!?!?! Now knock it off...you're making me hungry!

I fully understand your right to be a Vegan, but according to you, in March of this year you had a 31 inch waist and were
37 years old, but by mid May, you had a 32 inch waist and more importantly,
you were 40 years old! I had no idea Vegans aged more quickly than meat eaters..... I'm going to grill some beef tonight!

BTW my cows, chickens and pigs were all very happy, and never knew they were food. How cruel!
You never told them they were food, never gave them a heads up in 24 hours they would be on someone plate, you didn't give them a last meal to their likening, never gave them a chance to say goodbye ?
How do you sleep at night?

Wonderful post! I doubt Ill run into too many farm-ignorant vegans out here in Iowa, but I know plenty of vegetarian/vegan snobs in other places to make this worthwhile information.
I spend lots of time traveling coast to coast, and now, I live in Utah, I see lots of People, and have some very interesting plane rides, Like the time I sat next to a marine biologist who was going to a global warming conference, he spent the whole time trying to explain why the charts on "Greenhouse Gasses" and earth temperatures were always off by the temperature rising first, finally, about 15 minutes before we landed, he said, you really don't care do you? and I replied, anyone who believes in global warming is either employed in the industry as you are or Al Gore. He glared at me and shut up, people kept coming up to me in the terminal and thanking me for putting him in his place, it was a riot, and my connection was delayed anyway, so I had the time.
FR is such a good place to get the straight dope on anything, I love you guys.

Vegans, the Missing Link in the Food Chain........The reason they are missing is because their sperm counts are scraping bottom.

She doesn’t look like something humans would want to have sex with anyway. No loss.
The last time she had sex it probably involved her leg and a frisky Chihuahua.
Definitely fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down... then her face caught fire and someone put it out with a shovel...

They ate every meal as if it was their last (grin).

OK, have yours putrid rare.Did you know that meat is actually green due to curing (putrifaction), and that the red color is a result of chemicals added to change color??
That's funny, it didn't look green at all to me when I watched them slaughter and butcher a cow (a steer, actually) for a shooting match/BBQ I once attended. Certainly, certain parts were different colors, but I assure you, the parts we are were red, not green. Oh, and dry aged meat will often turn a bit grey, but not green.
Enjoy,
Thanks! I will continue to do so. And with you being a "veg-head," that means more dead, burnt animal flesh for me!

And gray skin! I can spot a vegan at 100 yards from the sallow, unhealthy look of the skin.

If people came up and thanked you, it sounds like he wasn't carrying on a one-on-one conversation, but was trying to drag the whole plane into the fray, social considerations be damned.

Awesome article! I particularly liked this quote:
‘As we know, when it needs food, our body indicates this to us with the feeling of hunger. But there are also other signals if specific nutrients are deficient. Meat is the best source of several nutrients. When our bodies are deficient in these, we become irritable and aggressive. This is a perfectly natural signal built into our genetic make-up over our evolution: our bodies are telling us to go out and kill something to eat. This is why strict vegetarians tend to be so vociferous. ‘
