An Ocean City woman who has been charged in the death of an infant was denied bail this afternoon, and has not been charged in connection with the discovery of the remains of three other infants in and near her home.
During a bail review hearing this afternoon, Christy Freeman, 37, told a judge that, if granted bail, she would not flee, because she wants to clear her name. Her defense attorney had requested $100,000 bail, but District Judge Daniel R. Mumford ordered Freeman held and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Aug. 27.
Freeman has been charged with first- and second-degree murder after police found a dead infant wrapped in a bloody towel hidden in a vanity beneath Freeman's bathroom sink, according to charging documents.
Police said that they were contacted by social service workers early Thursday at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Police said that doctors determined that Freeman, 37, had been pregnant but the baby was missing.
Police said they searched her home in the 200 block of Sunset Drive on Thursday night and found the deceased infant. Police said Freeman lives in the upstairs apartment of the house with her boyfriend and four other children.
Later Thursday, the remains of two more infants were found inside garbage bags inside a trunk in Freeman's bedroom, a police spokesman said. A third garbage bag concealed with the other two contained what appeared to be a placenta, police said.

They have now uncovered the body of a fourth infant. I am speechless.....
This looks as though it may be a school photo, from the picture. Is this vile creature a teacher? I hope not! I would be horrified if this person had been anywhere near my children.

I saw this on the local news here in CA. Did she miscarry? From what was said, these children were stillborn and premature. Considering the fact that third trimester abortion is legal, the powers that be have one hell of a nerve charging her.
Anyway, it’s creepy.

stunned! Were all the babies hers? multiple birth, or separate pregnancies? they can charge her but abortion mills can continue...totally amazes me the double standard our society holds. I can’t comprehend how a mother could do such a thing, and if she did it more than once!
