Thanks for your comments. I too enjoy the fact that Paul is in the race, despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who prefer to continue sucking on the government teat.
for someone who is going to have an absolute zero impact on the race, a lot of papers, blogs, chats are about him. kind of makes you wonder. someone must be afraid that all classes of people are starting to pay attention.

I’m a standard issue Libertarian and he’s a little off the wall for my taste — but I do agree with some of what he says and, beyond my personal views, I think that all points of view should be heard and discussed. What’s the downside of listening to everyone? I even like having Gravely in the Dim race and hope that Nader joins the fray as well.
Your premise is mistaken.
Anybody who is seriously interested in limiting the federal government and protecting our sovereignty would be making a huge mistake in vesting his support in a fringe candidate who wouldn't capture a single district outside the bounds of Victoria County, TX.
Paul has approximate zero chance of winning the nomination (and less than zero of winning the election, should he run as an independent). Consequently, he will be unable to ever do a damn thing about limiting government and protecting our sovereignty.
I'm not calling him a nut. Nor do I believe his supporters are nuts. But they are sure as hell smoking the good stuff.
