Russia successfully conducted July 12-13 live firing tests of S-400 air defense complex at the Kapustin Yar firing range in the Astrakhan Region.

I wonder if the western MSM was onhand to punch holes in the test parameters? /sarcasm off

Why is it Russia uses the ABM system to protect Moscow where in the US, our ABM is set to protect missle silos?

How does this relate to Russia’s Soviet pledge of never being the first to strike?

It renders it laughable, that’s what.

Russia has no need to protect her silos, because the expectation is that they will be emptied in a first strike by Moscow.

The US protects its silos from a first strike so they can be used to retaliate.

IOW, Russia’s pledge to never strike first is belied by their choice of what to do with missile defense.

Strategically, it allows them to threaten other countries while protecting their own populace.

The US has no such luxury.
