600 ‘suicide bombers’ lurking in twin cities (Pakistan)
Daily Times ^ | Sunday, July 29, 2007 | Sharif Khan

“Around 600 students of Jamia Hafsa and Jamia Fareedia have not returned to their homes after the Lal Masjid operation. These are the people called ‘missing students’ and they are hiding in madrassas and mosques in and around the two cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They are walking bombs and are determined to blow themselves up any time, anywhere,” said a source directly involved in the ongoing investigation of suicide blasts in the country.

Lal Masjid prayer leader Maulana Abdul Aziz said that five to six hundred students of the two madrassas had been trained, equipped and brainwashed to carry out suicide attacks. These students left the madrassa according to a plan before the final operation against the mosque was launched.”

“During the debriefing of students captured from Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa, the security agencies learnt that the teenaged students believed that President Pervez Musharraf and his team were kaafirs (non-believers) and agents of the US and had to be killed. The bombers are targeting army and law enforcement personnel to avenge the killings of their colleagues and Abdul Rashid Ghazi.”

“Investigations have revealed that these operatives are operating from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.”

There is considerable basis for this. During the siege of the Red Mosque, about 300 students were thought to be inside because their parents had come to the school to get them. After the siege, they were never found and stories circulated that they had been killed and secretly buried, all found to be not true.

There is a general civil war coming there, Pakistan will be the next Iraq.

Only immediate occupation and militray operations to cleanse Waziristan and the whole FATA can save Mushy. Mushy is so desperate that he is meeting with Benazir Bhutto, his sworn enemy.

Dude, you freaked me out there. Need to remember that in the US, “Twin Cities” = Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Daily Times Monitor: Pakistani businessmen in Abu Dhabi have confirmed that former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and President Pervez Musharraf met there. The President’s military media adviser have hotly denied the event, even though the ruling PMLQ party president has confirmed it.

The meeting was arranged through members of the UAE’s royal family.

Ms Bhutto refused to help President Musharraf amend the constitution before his presidential election to enable him to be both president and army chief and gave no guarantee that she would accept him as a “uniformed president” after the general elections.

I read the article. I was responding to post #2. We were both sharing our reactions to the HEADLINE.

Don’t put “Twin Cities” in a headline for American dissemination without clarification, please.

Most Homicide bombers only kill themselves. Then there are the “work accidents” for the guys who prepare the bombs.

The problem with self destruction as a tactic. The learning curve is murder!

Title is shocking to read, I thought Minnesota. Perhaps you should change title.

When you post an article, it is a verbatim cut and paste. Click on the link, check it out.

Would you have posters create their own headlines? We complain about the drive-by media, we shouldn't be drive-by readers.

No...No....No....

It’s the correct headline. Copied directly from the article. Altering it would be in breach of the rules here. It just caught some folks off guard........

"Around 600 students...600 ‘suicide bombers’..."

Lot's of statements come out like this. How many actually do it?

I think a parenthetical footnote (Irag) would be allowable.

Sorry, the title causes distress and fear and a false impression that Minn./St. Paul will be targeted. The title should be amended to show it's Pakistan.
