I'd love to take the family to DC just for the history of the place.
The problem is I'm really afraid I'd run into one of these Congressional staff weenies and he'd start spouting crap like this in front of me. Then my family would have to blow the balance of the vacation cash throwing my bail.
Who knows, it just might be worth it.

LOL! Aw, go ahead and do it. I go to DC quite a lot (went to high school there, have family there) and that's never happened to me yet. If I did run into one of those things spouting that crap, I'd likely get into trouble.
Friends used to be poised to keep me from causing an international incident last year whenever we went to the Palestine Hotel where the media holes up. This year's job does not afford me that opportunity. (Except for that one time there was this BBC news team in the Iraqi government building I was in....and one of my co-workers literally grabbed my collar {playfully} and said "Don't you dare go over to them. We do not wish to see the inside of an Iraqi prison.")
That being said, I was with FReeper Kristinn at Reagan Airport in DC last December and he saw Ramsey Clark while we were there. AND Kristinn taunted Clark about Saddam's upcoming execution. :-)
