WASHINGTON, July 28 They were high school friends from Park Ridge, Ill., both high achievers headed East to college. John Peavoy was a bookish film buff bound for Princeton, Hillary Rodham a driven, civic-minded Republican going off to Wellesley. They were not especially close, but they found each other smart and interesting and said they would try to keep in touch.
Which they did, prodigiously, exchanging dozens of letters between the late summer of 1965 and the spring of 1969. Ms. Rodhams 30 dispatches are by turns angst-ridden and prosaic, glib and brooding, anguished and ebullient a rare unfiltered look into the head and heart of a future first lady and would-be president. Their private expressiveness stands in sharp contrast to the ever-disciplined political persona she presents to the public now.
Since Xmas vacation, Ive gone through three and a half metamorphoses and am beginning to feel as though there is a smorgasbord of personalities spread before me, Ms. Rodham wrote to Mr. Peavoy in April 1967. So far, Ive used alienated academic, involved pseudo-hippie, educational and social reformer and one-half of withdrawn simplicity.
Befitting college students of any era, the letters are also self-absorbed and revelatory, missives from an unformed and vulnerable striver who had, in her own words, not yet reconciled myself to the fate of not being the star.

She is indeed a "woman of the people". God, what a pretentious sot.
Dont fret, the title alone gives ample warning.
In nytimese that means she achieved the intellectual heights with "Power to the people! Bring it all down, man."
Hey, wait just a minute... She has a heart?
ADD BARF ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Nation's first full day with woman president, President Hillary. . ."
. . .
"Local man shocked by early-morning IRS raid. 'What did I do?' asks John Peavoy. Agents empty home. . . ."
Like the cleavage story, this is another non-story.
Way more conservative than her active pre-hubby, who at her age was most likely “not inhaling” and chasing “pretty polly” all the live long day. She was a model student compared to him.
Maybe, but there is no sign this particular college student has changed since the letters were written. She is still a cold, calculating, win at any cost ego maniac.
Hmm. Think we could get her booted for Multiple Personality Disorder?
Personally, I think it sheds an interesting light into her inner workings.
Haughty, pretentious and arrogant as hell.
Like we needed this article to know that.

Sorry, I thought it was rather interesting.
The New York Times is setting the meme for the dinosaur media to follow.
I'm absolutely shocked that they left out this little factoid....
...Senator Clinton speaks to wealthy taxpayers at San Francisco fund-raiser- June 29, 2004
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Clinton said, according to the Associated Press. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you.
"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Personally I've become rather bored with narcissistic control freaks who have gone into national politics.
But that's just me.

After reading those excerpts I got a clear picture of how Hillary began her life. I don’t know how much “nurture” was added to her born personality “nature,” but perhaps her parents left her alone and coddled her too much and this only added to her self-grandiosity.
She believed as a child that she might be the only person in the universe. She fantasized that a million cameras were focused on her from the heavens. She was wondering whether it was OK to care for perhaps a couple of people and yet still be the desired misanthrope.
Oh yes, this is the right person to lead this country.
If only they'd apply the same interest to ALL candidates of ALL parties that they give to revealing our military secrets, eh?
Have to talk to JimR....
It is my belief that the other mindless 54% will lap this nauseating type of stuff up. And the DBM will incessant with this type of stuff all the way to November of ‘08.
