They’re pretty formidable from what I understand. If you’re a member and you have home school related problems with social services or the school, all you have to do is make a phone call and put your lawyer on the line.

They are generally pretty successful in getting over eager social agencies and school districts to back off.

They are responsible for a great deal of the home school legislation in most of the states; like they were in NY.

Yeah, HSLDA is great. They have accomplished some pretty incredible things in helping to get Home Schooling legalized in all 50 states.
