Most of the prostitutes I see on the street look like drug addicts in their twenties or thirties. I’m sure child prostitutes are out there, but you don’t see them walking the streets. They probably present too much of a spectacle. I can’t imagine that any cop gets much more than annoyed when confronted with a 30 year old meth addicted hooker, (it’s just what you see in certain areas), but I’m guessing that virtually all of them will go way out of their way to try to help a 13 year old girl and to bust her pimp.
Yeah, like alcohol is regulated and there are no more drunks.
Or, like guns are regulated and there are no more gun crimes.
Those are the child prostitutes. They just look 30.
The scenario you describe is one of hurting people and decadent behavior.
I care about my fellow man. You should, too.
Yes, let’s point to the 5% to justify ignoring the 95%.
Typical lib!
Sorry. Spend your money however you want.
“If it was legalized and regulated, the violence, pimps, drugs, and child exploitation would cease to exist.”
Do you really think about these ridiculous assertions before repeating them?
Are the runaway girls going to stop running away?
Are they going to find “other work”?
Are they going to stop being exploited?
Are they going to stop taking drugs to erase the pain?
“The point of the article is that the male is a perp and the female is a victim.”
No
“Lee was booked on suspicion of one count each of child prostitution, pandering and operating an illegal enterprise.”

“How do you know?”
The burden of proof is on you to show it happens as part of the business, not on someone else to show it doesn’t.
Cite a ref?
Hmmm....’guessing’ is probably more comfortable than knowing, when you want to pretend a problem doesn’t exist.
“Yes, lets point to the 5% to justify ignoring the 95%.

Funny - you’re the one making up statistics and namecalling as substitute for a real argument, not me.
I’d like you to show that 95% of prostitutes in the US are pimped streetwalkers.
This is from the article:
Kristy said, A young woman like the 22-year-old and the teenagers in this case could be there because of fear. Fear of Shawn and fear of leaving. If they left, they would have to survive the only way they know how to, knowing the possibility of Shawn finding them would be in his favor. Fear of possibly ending up in a worse situation than they had with Shawn. Kristy added that for many girls caught in prostitution, The unknown can be more frightening than a current situation, even if it is bad.
The girls dont try to get out because they dont see themselves as victims. Kristy knows how the girls feel. She said, Part of my survival in prostitution was convincing myself that I wasnt a victim. Being in the place of being a victim was too painful. The women I work with at VERONICA’S Voice do not self-identify as a victim. For most of them, it takes some time to get to that point.
A ref to what? I didn't claim anything.
I was asking "how do you know".
“This is from the article:”
‘Kristy’ is speculating. She has no information. The woman, Charmaine Lee, was arrested on multiple charges.
“I didn’t claim anything.”
What leads you to believe this goes on in the NV brothels? You asked, how I knew it didn’t I asked you, why do you even think it does.
I was replying to this post about the purpose of the author:
See how concerned is this author? She names the male perp but not the female. That’s the equality we strive for in America! Way to go, “the concerned women.”
Then I replied:
The point of the article is that the male is a perp and the female is a victim.
I didn’t ask you anything.
Maceman made a statement and I asked him “how do you know”.
“The point of the article is that the male is a perp and the female is a victim.”
The female is also a perp. She was arrested. The author is comparing every situation she encounters to her personal life, and the world doesn’t work that way.
So are you, LOL.
