I think I can predict which companies making these electrics, hybrids, and trybrids will succeed and which will fail with a simple formula....which ones look stupid and which don't.

You’d think so - but just look at the Prius. Can you imagine seeing this amphibian thing in your rear view mirror? Perhaps it’ll be popular on the coast... ?

The Toyota and Honda Hybrids cost and perform about the same, and are about the same size. Yet the Toyota is outselling the Honda to such an extent that Honda is canceling its entry. The reason? The Toyota looks funny. People are buying it to say to their neighbors and friends: "LOOK AT ME! I OWN A HYBRID"
