Well it’s finally happened. I’ve been waiting for it, knowing it was only a matter of time.
When I was down there in 2002-2003 I noticed that every excuse to put a chopper in the air they would. I remember one accident in Mesa toppled a Light Post into traffic and it tied everything up on (only one) street. No big deal but there were 3 choppers hovering over it for hours. It was nothing unusual to see 5 choppers all covering something somewhere in the valley. Guess they have lots of time and lots of fuel to keep them in the air.
