His one-liner immediately comes to mind when looking at the problems behind the federal government's campaign to boost production of corn-based ethanol with a massive 51-cent-per-gallon subsidy.

I NEVER use ethanol

I am glad to hear that some people in this country still have the option. In Minnesota all our gasoline has 10% ethanol, and last year they were thinking over raising it to 20% until they were told that a 20% blend would void the manufacturers warranty of many new cars.

8 dollar a gallon gasoline won't be form any supply or demand problem, it will be from the depreciation of the dollar. Gasoline is just as cheap as it's ever been, the dollars are just being firehosed out en masse and we (the consumer) are far enough down the disbursal line that the inflation from them is here before any benefit.

The $0.97 in this picture will still buy you at least 3 gallons of gasoline...
