Bottled water is bad for young children. I just came back from my dentist who told me there is no fluoridation in bottled water and without it kids get more cavities.

Minor point, maybe, but not if you have young children.

Don't most brands of toothpaste have floride? Not picking a fight as I am just curious that a dentist would use this reasoning. FRegards.

Actually, you’re behind the times. They are selling special fluoridated toddler bottled water now for a price premium over regular bottled water. They even have smaller brightly colored bottles with toddler-friendly caps.

True (my mother is a dental hygienist and I hear this all the time). The other culprit is soda. Even diet soda, which many kids drink now to avoid the sugar, will weaken the tooth enamal.

Not only that, but independent testing has proved that bottled water is no healthier than that of most large American cities.

No, bttled water is NOT bad for kids, and your dentist didn't say that. They do need flouride, and tap water is generally a good source for it in most areas, unles you have a well. Botled water is just fine for kids, as long as they get the required amount f flouride and any other vitamins an dminerals necessary.

The benefits of fluoride are being disputed daily. It seems sealing the teeth is much more effective. Fluoride can be harmful to some children when consumed. Not to mention chlorine. The chemicals used to treat water and put it back into circulation are very present in tap water where public water supply is used.

“Bottled water is bad for young children. I just came back from my dentist who told me there is no fluoridation in bottled water and without it kids get more cavities.”

The fluorides added to municipal water supplies are waste products from the phosphate fertilizer industry; fluorides are poison; fluorides do not prevent tooth decay. People who understand this buy bottled water to avoid the fluorides.

Your dentist must be a Communist.

Floride. Saw in the same grocery ad - an 8 pack of bottled water with floride was more expensive than a 24 pack of the same brand without floride. Why can’t we just buy floride in the dental care isle of the grocery store.
And I thought ALL toothpastes contained floride.

Buy toothpaste with flouride if you must have flouride.

Make them brush after eating/drinking sugar.

Then thee are those who think that all the chemical additives to the public water supply are a factor in all the childhood problems we have today which we didn’t have 50 years ago.
Control the contents of the water supply and control the population??

I like my private well.
