Nifong is up for criminal contempt.
He is basically trying to stay out of jail by throwing himself on the mercy of the court AFTER he has been exposed.
The bottom line people need to realize is that PROSECUTORS NIFONG PEOPLE EVERY DAY in the US courts. These Duke Players just had the money for lawyers to provide limitless defenses.

Nifong is the norm; not the exception. If these had been poor white boys they'd be in jail right now. A lot of folks who are unable to afford better lawyers are there right now and shouldn't be. I have ZERO respect in general for the government lawyer career field because none of those that represent it have done anything to earn that confidence or respect and, indeed, have done much to lose it. It's generally safe to assume that any given judge or government lawyer is lying when his lips are moving until he otherwise proves he can be trusted.
