They all make me want to puke, too. ALL of them — (R) and (D). The worst part is the sheer stupidity of most of them, and the arrogance. The impression they give the rest of the world that they represent me on anything is utterly embarrassing.

Gee, I am glad I have company. It’s not only their stupidity it is that reality has evaded them and they have no clue what it is. I hope enough people are as sick of them as we are so we can finally get some statesmen in office and not self-serving, ignorant politicians

“Statesmen in office”? Don’t hold your breath. I’d settle for someone with just a bit of common sense who wouldn’t worry so much about being in office for life. Hell’s bells, we’re headed like a juggernaut into yet another presidential campaign season with absolutely no one to get the least bit excited about. Gonna be another in a very long line of “lesser of two evils” Hobson’s choices for us poor suckers.

The worst is that we have managed to let things get in this shape, and there seems to be no end to it. Settling for mediocrity is now the American way of life, and there aren’t enough old curmudgeons like me left to change anything. The electorate, on the whole, has become dumber and dumber, and he (or she) who panders to the largest bunch of gimme, gimmes gets the prize — every time out of the box. It is a rotten shame, but we get what we deserve, I suppose.
