Intellectual property rights should be respected as much as any other property rights.

I would argue that any information or content that is being provided fully free of charge on the Internet falls within the public domain for fair use.
But these web sites need the hits for ad money, so I guess it's only right to give it to them (though I won't do it for the New York Times and a few others).
