Reminds me of the story of the man whose job it was to get gorillas out of trees using a ladder, a trained dog and a shotgun...

“My son who is a LEO has a rather large dog that lives in his house. When anyone fakes an attack on my son, the dog attacks my son. However, the dog is very protective of my D-I-L.”
The solution is simple. Send your D.I.L. to confront the burglar.

My pop had a CC in the City of Placentia, SoCal...He also had a little yapping tea-cup poodle-like dog. That little dog would let you know if someone was around fer sure...
My pop wrote him off...as a "security device". LOL

We just installed Apple's new Eye-pod home security system, and have several of these scattered among the shrubbery.

Yeah, its pretty eye-opening what the CT bloggers think, though a number of them want to fry the crooks. But the fools calling for people to enter a 5K road race actually came from............ this will be absolutely shocking...........Boston! LOL. Perhaps t-shirts can also be printed up to show solidarity with the murdered women. If they are really serious, they will have rubber wrist bands manufactured, which can be sold for a buck a pop. Imagine the fear the criminals in CT will experience when they see how many people show up for the 5K.

I travel a lot so my wife always has a couple of live-in house guests, Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson. And of course she pretty good friends with Mr. Remington and Mr. Winchester. She also has a Brazilian friend named Mr. Rossi. I guess we wouldn’t fit in with the GMA/cactus/windchime croud.

When I had a home security company, industry experts claimed that the yard signs and stickers we gave with a $3000 system provided an 80% deterrent. Why didn’t that doc in Conn have a good security system, and how did he escape when all the women died? Something fishy there, if you ask me.

Nothing says more than a "safe room".Oh, I don't know. A safe room with a nice field of fire and killing ground? I like the idea.
The way our house is configured the boss-lady could get a clear shot with her at their backs as they came up the stairs and with mine I could hit at point blank range any that made it to the landing. She's got double ought and I'm loaded with slugs.
A well placed safe room, if possible, makes a nice place to hunker down and do some serious deterrence.

GMA is irresponsible, most home invaders barge in through the front or back DOOR!
they have even learned to wait for you to be entering or exiting the house so they know the alarm is off.

If you told those idiots that exact thing, they would probably praise you for having the courage to stand up and admit you have an alternative lifestyle, and then make some speeches about gay marriage...

Run, do not walk, to the nearest gun store and buy a 12 gauge shotgun (any type, but a pump is better). Then get two boxes of 00 (double ought) 12 gauge shells. You are now an armed citizen capable of defending your home or person. Teach your wife and daughters how to load, point, and shoot. You may now sleep soundly.
