Republicans aren’t donating to “teach” a lesson. Unfortunately for the U.S.A. that lesson will cost us dearly if Hillary Clinton is elected.

I just got a call from the GOP, they played an audio clip then asked two poll questions - one about Hillary - before hitting me up for money. I waited patiently for them to ask for the $, then I told them NOT one dollar for them in Washington because I can still remember the immigration fiasco when so many of the GOP elites thought they would pass that disastrous bill WITH the dems. I told them I would wait for the Rep who vows to oppose any immigration bill, before donating to anyone. Then I just told them to have a nice day and hung up. Felt really good. THAT’s why I am not giving.

That is exactly the kind of crap that got us where we are. "If you don't vote for the Repo filth, then you will get perverted Demo filth." Worse yet, "If you don't vote for the devil's representative, you will get the devil himself." Here is another warning, "If the Repo rank and file don't demand excellence, then they will get the same filth no matter who wins." Why does it matter whether Hillary or some Repo Sicko gives our country to socialist dictators, illegal immigrants, Wall Street Bankers and Global financial syndicates? In either case, the country is still lost. The only hope for our future is to demand excellence. Without it we are lost.

Wrong! Republicans are not donating because Republicans don't trust the RNC or the President aside from the war. Republicans as a party treated Republicans the donors like serfs who need to obey their masters in the WH and Senate. Republicans called Republican donors bigots, racists, and vigilantes while calling illegals the backbone of America. I am not giving not to teach a lesson but because I really can't consider myself a Republican as much as I do a Conservative. Get Conservatives in the leadership positions in the RNC and maybe I will give.

I have given to Duncan Hunter and I will probably give to Cornyn when the time comes. My Congressman Sam Johnson will get some cash if he wants it.

The "hillary might be President" scare tactic is actually hilarious now, may as well throw in the "Judges and gays will marry" lines too.

I have been returning my requests to renew my membership in the Republican Party, without a check....and with a notice to remove Martinez. However, I will donate to the Republican candidate, who I think promotes Republican, conservative ideals.

I don’t think so, Mr. Jeeves.

I hope it is because we are conservatives and don’t approve of wasting our money (as if I had any)on minor leaguers.

When a strong conservative candidate emerges who appears electable the money will flow.

This whole election process starts much too early. The system needs an overhaul from stem to stern. It would be wonderful if a good, strong leader - governor, military, business, etc. - a non-millionaire - could successfully compete.

Your blaming the messenger. Its the Republican Party's obligation to deliver a product that its base can feel comfortable supporting. The fact that it won't tells a lot more about the party than its base. Many in the Republican party wanted to teach conservatives a lesson (that we need the party more than it needs us). When that strategy backfires, the GOP will come back to its core values.

I believe we will give when we know who the candidate will be. I’m just not giving to the party until I see some spine again. Pubbies are just democrat lite these days.

There is no “lesson” mission.

It is simply that there is NOTHING the GOP is doing which causes me to give money.

DOES ANYONE want to give money to a party headed by Mel “AMNESTY” Martinez? HECK NO WAY NO HOW!

The GOP has failed to comprehend the DONATING GOP DOES NOT GIVE MONEY TO RINOS.

Arrogance is killing them.

Personnally I’m through with the argument that says one must vote Republican—any Republican—just to keep a Socialist DIMWIT out of office. That logic provides no incentive for the Republican Party to return to its conservative roots. In any case, ours is the biggest economy and most functional society in the world. Trust me, we can survive even—dare I say it—the Hildabeast. Embracing illegal alien (that’s what they are) amnesty was the last straw for me. But that was after Republican failure to curb federal spending, failure to control the border (how can you have a war and not secure the borders?), embracing global warming (no credible evidence has ever been presented that anything man does or does not do can influence whatever may be happening with the climate), and failure to vigorously and effectively fight for social security reform. On top of that the administration has tried to fight the WOT on the cheap and politically correct. My son has been deployed to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq (twice). The main battle between Islamic fundamentalism and western domocracy should have been won at least 2 years ago. Our power is being frittered away day-by-day and casualty-by-casualty. Oh, and one more thing—if you do not have the political will to take out Iran and Syria all the rest is a waste of time. Dooltotheend
