I LOVE old cemeteries & spend a LOT of time at them when I find them. You know the ones that often from road look like a meadow (as it hasn't been cared for).. the graves are often toppled by vandals & most are hard if not impossible to read the stones

The end of June I attended an outdoor concert in Kirkland, OH(home of the original Mormon settlement),

on way home saw little sign at the road with arrow with just the word "cemetery" on it & I knew this would be my kind of cemetery

First is overview. I had camera on poor setting & so quality is poor for most of the pix I took

Second pix is a "remembrance" not an actual marker. Sister of Bringham Young.

A cousin and I took a couple of genealogy research trips. We visited county libraries, Hall of Records and cemeteries in Dayton, OH, Montgomery County, MO and Keokuk County, Iowa.

Of course, we also spent time doing research in Texas. Texas was fun because she lives in Texas and knew much of the family history.
