"The decision was really hard," said university President Hank Brown.
"The individual did not express regret, did not apologize, did not indicate a willingness to refrain from this type of falsification in the future," Brown said. If this was hard, what would he consider easy? Maybe a white heterosexual male Christian student making an alledged anti-lesbian remark in a 'private', off campus blog posting, in which case he'd be immediately expelled?

"The decision was really hard," said university President Hank Brown. Agreed! Hard?? The man was an out-and-out academic fraud in addition to being an ultra-leftwing kook. Any university should have been ashamed to have him on the faculty, let alone as a department head. Yet this was a HARD decision? Bah!

The only reason it was “hard” was because these liberals think they “own” the campuses and can do and/or say any damn thing they want...and to a certain extinct, they have for the past forty plus years...but NOW with the help of the Internet & talk radio the liberal indoctrination farms, which are college & university campuses, have been and are being exposed.

But you missed the rest of his quote!

No, this is about consequences for a liar, a cheat, and a thief (and this is about G-D time!)

This fine upstanding example of a professor plans on suing, so that will probably delay his actual departure, or possibly prevent it. Count on at least another three or four years...

The man was an out-and-out academic fraud You make an exceptionally important point. The guy was not fired for intemperate remarks or allegations he made about 9/11 As odious as those were, they were protected. The guy got fired for lies, distortions and misrepresentations in his works (laughably called scholastic). Al Sharpton is more truthful than Churchill.

I am really glad to see him go. He is a fraud, a phony & a liar....Should he sue I hope he loses . We don’t need our students being taught by the likes of Ward Churchhill or professors like him IMHO...~Pandora~

Hey now... These guys should take a minute or two and cool down. It's easy to rush to judgment, and we wouldn't want to see Churchill getting the bum's rush.
Regents, take your time and think about this for a bit, would you?

One of Churchill’s lies accused soldiers of deliberately infecting Indians by giving them blankets from diseased victims. The truth was that the Indians swarmed each new stagecoach, despite soldier’s attempts to keep them at a distance, and they caught the disease from a sick passenger.
