I’ve also met vegetarians/vegans who simply prefer the diet, for plain food preferences. They’ll happily wear leather goods and say their diet has nothing to do with “saving the whales”, it’s just what they prefer. If I take them to a steak house, they’re cool with it and end up eating portabello mushrooms on pasta or something.

I’ve met both types. A few guys from India that ate the most interesting food. It looked and smelled good. It also did not look like typical vegetarian food I see in the store or restaurants. I also worked with a militant vegan. She was completely insane. She would say things like the reason that woman couldn’t get high paying jobs was because men ate red meat.

Good food is good food... I’ll eat it all.

I know several folks who attempted a full-up vegetarian diet...and after a year...they were 90 percent vegetarian, with fish being eaten an awful lot. And the truth is...that might be the most balanced diet possible and give you a few more years.
