Join us for this weekend's events at the Indy Motor Speedway.
You have to remember that, as long as he is in the top 12 coming out of Richmond, the points don’t matter.
And looks like Bubba Q is moving up a notch
Well done
I forgot to add Tony’s most-laps-led bonus when I figured your score. Outstanding!
Yep. Too bad the idiots on TV don't know the difference.
The B-1B is an awesome jet.
Ever seen the pic of a B-1 close to the water....nothing but spray behind it. Not a photoshop job, either.
Power. Lot's of it. Several years of working the flight line here at Nellis. When a Red Flag exercise was on, the jets take off early for the first go. Real early. Like the sun is not up yet, but the darkness is on the way out.
F-16's and F-15's are cool to watch, long plume from the afterburner(s), lot of noise. But when the B-1's take off, 4 afterburners, the noise is incredible. It rocks the whole valley.
I never got tired of watching / feeling that. :)
The B-2 may be all about stealth, but slow - sub sonic.
Me? I'll take the B-1. Mach+ at 50ft off the deck, twice that at altitude. When I need speed, I want real speed!
Just me, of course. Cool platform.
LOL! It would appear your wish has been granted...looks like Blaney in the CAT car finished 9th. Must be one of his and Toyota’s best finish. Congrats!!
Thought NASCAR fans here, today, would like to see what ‘That’s Racin’ regulars thought of ESPN’s coverage of today’s race:

They've finally got it where you get a race window plus the commercial window but you get to select 'Team Audio' and not listen to the commercial.
My only complaint about the HotPass producers is they use too many isolation shots instead of the money shot, in-car cameras when there is racin going on.
Yes you did and I had a "kiss the bricks" moment. Tony Rules!
Split sponsorship package.in works for Earnhardt?

No final decision has been made regarding Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s future team sponsor at Hendrick Motorsports, but one is expected within the month and possibly within the next two weeks, multiple sources close to the negotiations said Monday.
It is widely speculated that PepsiCo. is the leading candidate to sponsor Earnhardt through its Mountain Dew brand, but sources with knowledge of negotiations say National Guard is also a top candidate as part of a split sponsorship package.
National Guard currently sponsors Hendrick’s No. 25 car, driven by Casey Mears.
Sources say the combined deal will be the richest team sponsorship in NASCAR history, somewhere between $25 million and $30 million annually.
Earnhardt said last week that Navy will continue its sponsorship of JR Motorsports’ No. 88 Busch Series entry in 2008, but sources said that would not conflict with a potential National Guard association in the Sprint Cup Series.
As for the other key piece of the Junior puzzle — his car number — DEI and Hendrick are actively negotiating. Hendrick has submitted a proposal to DEI. This is an intricate proposal that carries obvious emotions.

JR Motorsports & Hendrick Motorsports to Combine Operations
“MOORESVILLE, N.C. / CONCORD, N.C. (July 30, 2007) - JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports will combine the two companies’ NASCAR Busch Series operations at the conclusion of the 2007 racing season with plans to field a joint effort beginning in 2008....”
and “Ultimately, Dale Jr. and I both want to win races and give our people the best possible chance at achieving success,” said Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. “Instead of operating independently of each other, we have an opportunity to work together to field an even stronger Busch Series effort.”
Wow, so proud of Dale Jr.

Wow, looks like Jr. is ‘All In’ !
Yep, looks like the #5 and #88 will run out of JRM beginning next year as a combined JMS/HMS. That’s big for them! Hendrick has been grooming Cassill for next year, hopefully he can get a little sperience under his belt....the two wrecks the last two weeks weren’t really his fault. Brad Keselowski did really well in the #88 Saturday, he’s trying to earn his spot for next year. I can’t wait to see Andy Pilgrim in the car in the Glen and Montreal. :)
The move from DEI to Hendrick will be so much bigger than anyone anticipated. And a good move at that!
I think everything about the Cup car will fall into place as soon as the shrubbery is cut in the next two weeks.
Well, off to birthday dinner. ttyl
Addendum.
Chad Walter
He is currently the crew chief for the #5 Busch team.
Before he got the job in 2005, he was an engineer for Hendrick’s Busch program, as well as having worked with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. in their engine department.
Heh!
I’m glad they are making jobs and keeping jobs for people rather than having to lay them off as some others have had to do.
Is it yer BD?
