Thousands of years...
Stop exagerrating, kinoxi. Your hatred of all things Indian is so pronounced that you always try to present the most negative aspects. The most laughable example was the proposed US-India F-35 deal, where you made similar bizarre claims.
I don’t dispute the fact that female infanticide in India is that country’s most serious moral issue (among many other ones, albeit less serious).
To claim that the practice is going on for “thousands of years” is ridiculous and unsupported by history. The devaluation of females in India, while existent in earlier ages (like all ancient cultures), took a decided turn for the worst after the Islamic invasions, post 10th-century A.D.
Of course, people like you will still use this to spread propoganda as it suits your biases and deep-seated hatred for India/Indians/people of Indian origin.
Look who’s on the thread...LOL.
Abortion is one of the biggest crimes in a traditional Hindu culture. In Nepal, a traditionally feudal Hindu society, abortion was a capital crime until late 1990s.
Even written in a lot of ancient Hindu texts. From Rig Vedas to Smritis right down to Krishna, abortion was one of the capital offenses. Krishna was said to have slayed a witch called Putana who had abortionist power(and wiped out all babies, born and unborn).
That being said, abortion must have gone in ancient India and must be fairly common... why else would the texts talk about them(negatively). The ancient texts never talk about carbon pollution... okay, that is a joke.
