If you are truly tired of “made in China” then you should never step foot inside of a Walmart store again. Same goes for MANY products sold at warehouse stores such as Costco and Sam’s club (relationship to Walmart noted).

As the person responsible for this post I am ashamed to admit that, as I read your reply, my wife was backing out of our driveway. She is now on her way to Wal-Mart to procure me a supply of SONY CD-RW’s. I grabbed an empty box and read “Made in Tiawan”. GUILTY as charged.

The only time I’ve ever been to a Walmart was four years ago with my sister-in-law, and even then I could tell the merchandise was second rate junk. Didn’t know it all came from China back then. Now it all makes sense. Needless to say, I’ve never shopped there again.
I’d gladly pay a few extra bucks for better quality American made items.

LOL... hate to tell ya, but it's not only the discounts stores loaded /china crapola....

True story....my friend & I stopped at a church rummage sale late in the day.....we were greeted w/ "fill you a sack for only one buck", this sale's just about over.

One of my *treasures* was an over sized purse/tote bag complete w/original "Neiman Marcus" price tags still attached, & the NM name on the outside pocket.....however on the inside was the almost standard nowadays "made in China tag".

You'd think with the prices that "Neiman Marcus' charges they might being selling *quality* items.
