My Mom used to drag me to plays and performances when I was a teen. “1776” has been a play for a long time, and I saw it many years ago - it was great.

Nowadays, forget pledging our fortunes to save our country, a lot of us won’t even do jury duty without griping about it. Half of us don’t vote at all.

Thank GOD for Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, et al.

On the evening of Sept 11, 2001, our whole family sat down and watched “The Patriot” with Mel Gibson. Inspiring.

You are a family of GREAT Americans....and you’re SO right about how “soft” we’ve become. Let’s hope the pendulum is starting to swing the other way for a change, and we may once again find our character.
