One urban renewal solution : bulldoze it flat, start over. Every razed, empty building means another chunk of parkland reclaimed. If taxes aren’t paid on it, it’s GONE. Use it or lose it. Simple solution, who has the cahones to DO IT?

I'm usually a 100% supporter of property rights but Detroit is such a mess that a radical solution along those lines may be absolutely necessary.

Bulldoze it, plant trees and give it back to the Indians!

I’ve read 75% of the housing in Detroit is abandoned.

Move everyone into one chunk of the city, bulldoze the rest so the crack wards don’t have operating facilities.
