My God, but the Syrians are crushingly stupid.

Rocket attacks by terrorists in a neighboring country are one thing. Rocket attacks by a neighboring country are quite another. Once Syria tries this crap, their whole country becomes a target.

They might want to fight a war of attrition, but if they start bombing Israeli cities like that, the Israelis will not play the same game. They'll destroy Syria's military capabilties, and they'll destroy Amman.

And if Syria is insane enough to use WMDs ... well, Amman won't exist anymore.
