You really like the idea that Romney might be this terrible person, don’t you?
Do you even know that Romney was a Boy Scout leader and served on their board of directors? Or did you know that the Olymipic Committee has a law against anyone under the age of 18 participating in the Olympic ceremonies? If not, why not?
People here seem far too willing to accept the garbage shoveled to them by groups like MassResistance.
I happen to like Romney, and after watching that linked YouTube video, it looks to me like Romney was simply trying to straddle the fence and talk out both sides of his mouth. You know (paraphrasing), “The Boy Scouts should be able to choose whatever leaders they want.... but they should accept homos.”
Romney’s biggest hurdle is his history with Massachusetts. No normal, taxpaying, traditional American family wants as a President somebody who was elected to anything by Massachusetts. Normal people want to vote without grimacing. Romney has a real mountain to climb and I am not at all sure he will ever be able to successfully shake off Massachusetts.
If Mitt doesn’t oppose the Boy Scouts Ban on Homosexual Scoutmasters all he has to do is say so. Has he?
Mitt Romney’s 1994 debate against Sen. Ted Kennedy. Watch the Republican presidential wanna-be as he tries to convince the audience that he is more pro-choice and pro-gay than a Kennedy. There’s also an interesting exchange where Mitt says that gays “should be allowed” to serve as Boy Scout leaders. At the time he served on the board of directors of the Scouts.
